Adriana Castro Lizarbe is a New York-based architect, designer, and illustrator. Her work spans architectural design, visual communication, and research, focusing on the intersection of culture and contemporary built environments. She explores narratives of cultural preservation through visual communication and curatorial practices, utilizing visual representation to document and advocate for cultural heritage.
She holds a degree in Architecture from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) and studied abroad at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA). She further specialized in Architecture for Landscape at YACademy in Bologna, Italy. Since 2019, she has been a licensed architect in Peru, working as an architectural designer and project architect in real estate development teams. In 2022, she collaborated with Mario Cucinella Architects (Italy) on a project for the Cesare Roversi Arredamenti factory.
Beyond architectural practice, she has developed a strong presence in visual communication, producing architectural imagery for firms such as Nómena Arquitectura and Architecture Candy. Her illustrations have been recognized by the Peruvian Board of Architects and selected for publication in 2022. That same year, she was awarded a scholarship to attend YACademy’s Marketing and Communications for Architecture program.
She is currently a candidate for the MS in Critical, Curatorial, and Conceptual Practices program at Columbia University’s GSAPP under a full-ride scholarship granted by the Peruvian government.
